Head in the Clouds——心不在焉

** not know what is going on（不知道發生了甚麼）// unaware of one's present situation（不知道自己的現狀）// thinking in illogical or delusional manner（不合邏輯或以妄想的方式來思考）

The hyperbolic idiom started as "head in the air," but that apparently was not enough to express what it wanted to mean, so in mid-1600s, the ‘head’ had to be hyperbolically extended to the clouds, which were considered out of the reach to humans. It was only in relatively recent times that a vague, dreamy person was said to have his or her head in the clouds.

（這誇張的慣用語最初形容“頭在空中”，但這顯然不足以表達它想要表達的意思，因此在十七世紀中期，頭必須被誇張地伸展到雲裡，那時普遍認為人類不能去到雲層的。只是到了近代才用頭在雲中來形容一個模糊、白日做夢的人。）

>> If you think that you will not be infected by COVID-19 after being vaccinated, you are head in the clouds, but it is a fact that if you are vaccinated, the risk of severe illness and death will generally be greatly reduced!

（如果你認為接種疫苗後不會感染新冠病毒，那是不切實際的，事實是接種後被感染的重症和死亡風險通常會大大降低。）

>> The taxi meter showed 30 dollars and I paid 40 dollars, but the taxi driver gave me 70 dollars as change. He must be head in the clouds.

（的士咪錶顯示三十元，我付了四十元，但的士司機卻找回七十元，他肯定是心不在焉。）
