Stew in One's Own Juice——自食其果

!! When Zhou Xing（周興）was asked how to get a prisoner to confess, his answer was: take a big pot and put charcoal fire around it, let the prisoner get inside, and he dare not not confess! Zhou Xing（周興）was put in the jar.

（周興被問到如何讓囚犯認罪時，他的回答說：拿一個大鍋，在它周圍放上炭火，讓囚犯進去，他不敢不承認！周興便被放進鍋子裡。）

!! Henry Carey wrote in Advertisements from Parnassus (1656): "He could not better discover hypocrites than by suffering them like oysters to stew in their own water."
