No Ifs, Ands or Buts——沒有討價還價的餘地

** 沒有條件；沒有多餘的可說；沒甚麼二話可說；沒有人情可講；不要找任何理由和藉口

**This expression mingles together two older phrases:

這個表達式將兩個較舊的短語混合在一起：

1)"Ifs and ands" is almost equivalent to wishful thinking. You wish that something would not happen IF it's bad, AND you also wish that same something would happen IF its good.

1）"Ifs and ands" 幾乎等同妄想。如果事情不好，你希望事情不會發生；如果好的話，你也希望同樣的事情會發生。

2)"But me no buts" (first"but" is transitive verb; second“buts”is plural noun) means not to make objections or excuses.

2）別老對我說“但是，但是”了（第一個“但是”是及物動詞；第二個“但是”是複數名詞）意思是不要有異議或藉口。

**You are going to college, no ifs, ands or buts.

（你要上大學，沒有討價還價的餘地。）

**We have to make money this year, period.

（我們今年必須賺錢，沒有藉口。）
